This Saturday the 27th August the town hall will be hosting the Wave of Relief music trivia night. This event bring residents of Gerringong and its surrounding areas together in support of Surf Aid International.
Surf Aid International supports island communities who are devastated with natural disasters and are then faced with poverty and malnutrition. The lives of many people in these villages is a struggle against hardship and disease and requires ongoing support. Since the 2004 tsunami, the Gerringong/Gerroa community has supported the Surf Aid charity in providing on-going financial support for the people of the Mentawai Islands of West Sumatra in Indonesia.
It has now been 12 years since the first event and it is a growing charity event in the Gerringong/Gerroa community.
