Deck and Balcony Safety

Balconies, decks, balustrades and railings must be built to the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.  They must be regularly inspected and maintained and able to take the pressures typically placed on them.

NSW Fair Trading have produced a guide for maintenance and safety for timber, concrete and masonry decks and balconies.
